“I don’t dream at night, I dream all day; I dream for a living.”
Steven Spielberg

Thanks for stopping by. We are Caroline and Larissa. We are the faces behind Creative Party Themes. This is a little bit about us and how we built this website.

Larissa and I are both former teachers and event planners. We are also moms, great friends, and we both love to throw amazing parties! In fact, some might even go so far as to call us party junkies.

The inspiration for this website came about seven years ago as we were sitting at a basketball game watching our girls play. Between cheers, we were chatting with some other moms about the challenges of finding a career opportunity that would allow us to re-enter the job market doing something we loved while still giving us the flexibility in our schedules to spend quality time with our families. No easy feat!

How many times had we all heard that the best way to make a living was to do something that we were passionate about? Well, Larissa and I love planning and hostessing parties. We love helping our friends plan their parties. We also enjoy getting together over a cup of coffee (or a cocktail) to share our ideas. We thought, wouldn’t it be great if we could find a way to help lots of people throw amazing celebrations and earn a little money at the same time? So began our adventures in the party business…

Thanks for taking a look at our website. We hope you’ll visit us often. If you have any party ideas you’d like to share, we would love to hear them. Drop us a line on our Contact Us page.

All the best,

  1. Dear Caroline,
    dear Larissa,

I am writing you as a paricipant of the Blogtoberpost over at http://www.thesitsgirls.com. You were the blog ahead of me so here I go:

I love that your About Us page starts off with a quote that instantly gives me the idea what you are all about. Your story of how your site came to be has a personal touch which is very comprehensible and fun to read.

As much as your picture is fun to look at I would have prefered it for my part if I could have seen your faces as this was the first page I saw.

I hope my comment was useful and I wish you a wonderful week.

    Yours faithfully
    Gyny

  2. Wondering if a Sock Hop could be a fundraiser for a woman’s club? We’d need to hire a disc jockey so would have some expenses—the crowd would be in the 60 to 70 year old age range. I remember as a teen buying matching socks with my date!
